I will be running a three division set up in 2010 of 4 teams the top two in each division will progress along with two *Wild cards. We have one new team this year from PA (7)

Tournament Rules

Points Win 3 pts, Tie 1pt, Loss 0 pt

Position tie breaker if points tied A) Head to Head, B) Goals Difference, C) Most goals.

Playoff round-All 1st place teams +1st wild card in one pile, all 2nd place teams+ 2nd wild card in another-blind draw one to the other for fixtures and game order (Proviso-No draw of 2 teams from same Division.

Wild card based on  1)Goals Diff,2) Goals for,3) Goals Against, 4)Head to Head if valid, 5) Coin toss.

Field play as FIFA with following changes

1)      Players are team tied-cannot play for any other team without tnmt**** approval

2)      Referee will ask for underage player disclosure at coin toss –Teams can accept or deny player. Age challenged players not disclosed at coin toss must be able to substantiate age to tnmt ***official if requested.

3) Substitutions unlimited but only through referee

4) Yellow card-Referee may utilize a 10min cool down period-player may be replaced.

5) Red card player leaves game, cannot be replaced. Additional game suspensions may be applied upon review by tnmt official

6) Linesman-each team to provide a linesman to assist referee. Referee has final call.

       *** WARNING GAME RESULTS HAVE BEEN CHANGED ON APPEAL.

 

 

 The 50th Annual Sports fest SSC Two Day Soccer    Tournament.

                             July 31st & August 1st 2010                  

Dear Coach,

Well its that time of year again and I hope your season to date is going well and you will have a competitive team for the SSC Sports fest which is getting stronger each year both on the field and around the bar!!!!!

This will be my 19th tournament as they say there is no fool like an old fool; I basically have been running summer tnmts. all my life Farchers Grove-10 years, Ellenville-Ukranians and at the old Vernon Valley facility. I strive to be fair to all teams and I look forward to your team’s participation this year.

 

We will be running two full fields again most people I have spoke with prefer full field games of a decent length we will have three smaller divisions with winners and runners-up into the finals and a wild card. This aspect cannot be worked out until we have a lock on the number of teams who want to participate.  We had twelve teams last year-3 Div. of 4; I will decide the format once I have a good count of teams for this year.

 

*Minimum age 35 years (I have reversed games in the past based on valid protests and I have taken one against my own club affiliation-you are warned)

Excluding the goalkeeper who can be no younger than 25years old

(If younger players are played they must be declared at game time and agreed to by opponent representative at coin toss or else game forfeit will take place)

 

*Team line-ups are required before first game each day; players are only allowed to play for one team so bring sufficient players and subs over 35

 

*Independent Non-player referees

 

*50 minute games 2 by 25min halves-may review for 2010 tnmt format

 

*Entry fee $275 for 2009 teams a $25 credit for last year’s rains!!  This includes 16 tickets and one coach pass for each day's entry to SSC (Additional people players will be charged the normal ground entry fee)

 

Facility note – No Oneonta this year so make a vacation out of the w/e the camping area is by reservation and is open from Friday on; lots of groups make a long weekend of it! Showers hot & cold, kitchen & Bar in operation (Camping fee charged)
